![]() don't just tell me "well it didn't happen to me" because, it very clearly happens to a lot of people. it would remove a lot of the annoying (BUT WHAT DOES IT DO) that i keep seeing from people and would be much more new player friendly. it just needs a better description for stuff like flow, and maybe have some place you can double check that information. It just needs to say what basic mechanics do so people like me, people like my dozen or so friends who were turned off by the game, and the many MANY people who didn't even bother with the game because of how unfriendly it appears to be in letting you know hat is even what.Īgain to clarify, i'm not saying it needs to tell you how to make a flow build or even that a flow build is a thing. ![]() I'm not saying the game has to tell you literally everything right away or shove it in your face I'm currently working on hell pass 12 and will likely be finished with hell pass 14 and will likely have 100% the game in a day or two from now, and i'm saying that despite being this far into the game i think the game is lacking in these areas. ![]() and even after knowing sorta what i was getting into i was still confused and had to look things up, again many many hours into the game. i watched some let's play's after removing the game from my wish list twice due to the reviews and the trailer looking super confusing. I mainly play rogue likes and this is the first one i've ever played for 30+ hours and still have to regularly look up what basic mechanics do. Look, i'm not exactly a fan of how much hand holding newer games have, but its also a fact that a large number of people are put off by the lack if information in some areas and i'd very much like to see this game to continue to do well and get more popular. I've gotten the impression this is a hot take (some how) but i'm interested if anyone else thinks the same way on this. any little thing that could be added would help, even if its just a glossary tucked away in the main menu and not something as involved as overhauling descriptions in game. its extremely unfriendly to new players and even worse to people looking on from a distance. I think for this game to really work better then it is, it needs to convey information better. and die not understanding what to do o how you even died. it could even give better explanations on certain bosses if you run into them multiple times. maybe it could even update with information as you first discover something. where you can look up an explanation on basic terms. I'm saying the game needs something like a glossary. Now i'm not saying it needs to tell you the information on how flow works in that little info box, or even say more then it already does there. YEAH BUT WHAT DOES IT DO!!" and it only stops once a viewer tells them. gain one flow, lose one flow when you cast a spell. Like every single youtuber and twitch streamer i've watched has had this exact sentence 'flow' out their mouth more times then i can count. it doesn't actually involve the game at all, it involves going on some forum to ask "what the heck does flow do" cause the game doesn't tell you. i'd say once you know what to do its actually neither, but getting there, getting to the point where you know. the comments i see are "its too hard" or "its too confusing". ![]() My reason for making this post is kinda because this is one of the first games i've ever seen that despite being the kinda game my friends like, i can't for the life of me get them interested in it because of how the game portray's it self and gives its information. the information in this game is seriously lacking in several areas and i honestly think its holding the game back and is pushing away new players. i have a few wins with every character and every starting loadout, i have all of the outfits, have nearly all the achievements and i'm not just working up hell mode, and i just beat hell mode 8.Īnd after all of that, i some times find my self looking back wondering "what the heck was the game trying to say here?" like seriously, i recently when on binge watching a bunch of people playing the game for the first time, and not only were they confused by the tutorial, me a 70 hours in player was confused by some of the information in the tutorial. I'm coming up on 70 hours in the game now and i've almost done everything.
